Baby Kitties

Our kitty had 5 baby kitties today. So this is a picture of the babies just a couple hours old. They are such cute babies. We let the kids go out to see them and they said, "What are those, is that our kitty?" then Brayden said, "Are those Kitties?" I think they are really cute. She is a really good mom. She had them in her and rascals dog bed so rascal is currently kicked out. She cleaned them up and was feeding them all when we found her. She is such a good cat. She catches mice and Golphers like crazy so if any of you are interested in a cat in a month or so let us know!! :-)

Teenage chicks

Our baby chickens are no longer cute and fuzzy. You can practically watch them grow. They are going to out grow the brooder soon. They may be moving in with the pigeons temporarily. They are loosing there down feathers and growing regular feathers so they are a bit ugly right now.

Bunnies

Okay so I dont know how many of you know Jessica very well but she has always been alittle nervous around animals. She likes them and is interested in them but she is afraid to hold them because she thinks they will bite or scratch her. However, we went on a field trip to Wild Wonders and she was so taken with the bunnies that I had to get one. The bunny that she picked is a lion bunny and it is a little odd looking but she loved it because it was so sweet. She held that bunny all day. She loves it and has named her Annie. She is resposible for feeding and water her. She goes out to check on her bunny multiple times a day. It will be great for her to have something she is in charge of taking care of!!! Aubree and Angie decided that they would get bunnies as well. Brinley is on the left with Benson's Bunny, then Jessica holding Annie, and on the Right is Boo Boo aka Aubrianne holding her little bunny. Boo Boo defiantly got the cutest one but that is okay like I said Jessica loves her bunny so that is what counts.

Brayden's 7th Birthday

Brayden just turned 7. It is crazy how fast kids grow. He is doing so great in school. He loves learning. Right now he is most interested in Math and Science. He loves to read books about animals. He also loves art. Grandma and Grandpa Atkin got him a real sketch book and an art kit. They couldn't come over for his Birthday because of work but they gave it to him later. We went to the movies right after school with Grandma Thurman and Bridget. We went to see, "How to Tame a Dragon." Brayden loved it. He was talking about Toothless being his dragon and how cool it be if we all had dragons to fly everywhere we went. It is a really cute show. I defiantly recommend it. Then we came back and had Pizza and ice cream and let Braden open his presents. Mom and Dad got Brayden an electric scooter. He loves it. We were a little nervous about it at first but he does great. Brayden has great reflexes and thinks quickly in an emergency.
Grandma and Grandpa Thurman got Brayden the nerf shot gun that Brayden wanted very badly. It is pretty cool. They also got him a lizard kite and a bubble sword with a giant bottle of bubble refill.

We let Brayden open the gifts from Jessica and Isaac in the morning before school. They were to excited to wait until later. They got him Bakugan's and a Bakugan case. I had no idea what they where until Brayden started talking about them. I guess his friends at school play with them at recess. Anyhow they are kind of like transforms but they are dragons. Whatever, but he was really excited.
Brooklyn looks very serious. Maybe she us upset that she didn't get him any thing. HA HA.

Michel Buble!!

Brent surprised me with Michel Buble tickets for our annivsary. The concert was on March 31, 2010. It was so much fun. I didn't have my camera so I dont have pictures for you but I called Heather and Jason while I was there just to make them jealous. He was alot of fun to go and see in concert. I would go again and I would recommend him to anyone. He is actually really funny. I have the best husband in the world!!

Brent had a Farm

While Brent worked on his pigeon coop the kids climbed on the hay. They thought it was great. I will have to put pictures of the finished coop on sometime. It looks really good. He added a porch and all. Things are just starting to turn green here. It makes me excited for warm weather. Hopefully we will have a yard with grass soon, instead of just dirt and weeds.

Easter.......Saturday!

We celebrated Easter on Saturday so that we could celabrate it while Michelle, Christian and Sacora were here. The kids woke up and got their Easter baskets, then Brent made a really yummy Breakfast. After Breakfast Brent took all the kids and Michelle to IFA and they bought four easter egg chicks, (Americana), and 8 regular egg laying baby chicks. Yes that is right we just added 12 chicks to our ever growing farm. Not to mention Brent is starting his own little bee farm. We'll get to that later though. The kids thought it was alot of fun to hold and play with the chicks.

Jessica got a musical Ballerina Jewelery Box for Easter and she loves it. She opens it and dances all around the room to the music.

Snowman for Spring Break

Brent's sister Michelle and her kids, Christian and Sacora came to visit during spring Break. We got a couple inches of snow, go figure, so we built a snowman. It was a bit of a hobo snowman due to the fact that the snow wasn't really deep and so it was partly made of mud, but the kids had alot of fun. We kept teasing Christian that she was his girl friend. Later our poor snowman fell over so Christian and Sacora finished her off.

I think that Sacora was ment for farm life. When ever they visit she cant get enough of the animals. I dont have pictures, but the next day after it snowed it was sunny so I took the kids on a pony ride on Honey Pie. We had alot of fun. The kids loved to have their cousins stay with us.

Christian had alot of fun scraping the snow off the deck. We could award him the helpfulness badge!!!
